Amid pandemic JKBOSE Jammu office phones out of reach for people | Three numbers out of order, while no one picks up other phones | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 25: In view of the Covid-19 lockdown when people are relying on phones to get various types of information, phone numbers of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Jammu division office, are out of reach for the public.
Out of six three landline numbers given on the official website of JKBOSE are out of order while remaining three numbers are not picked by the officials, causing inconvenience to the public.
These numbers given against the officials include Joint Secretary, Secrecy, Estates, Accounts, Legal, Audit and PIO, Joint Director, Dr. Sudhir Singh contact number 0191-2581502 and 0191-2952366 .
Similarly Joint Secretary, Examinations, Administration, Registration Forms and ETTC (Acad./Exams) Section Joint Director Altaf Hussain, contact number 0191-2582240, 0191-2952639 and Joint Secretary-General Certificates, Verification and Records Sections JD Tripta Devi contact number 0191-2585732 and 0191-2953721.

Jammu, May 25: Although some anti-social elements have launched a vicious campaign to instigate people against on-going inoculation drive, four districts of the Union Territory of J&K has achieved the target of 100 percent vaccination in the above 45 years category.
Ganderbal, Shopian, Jammu, and Samba districts have achieved this target while an aggressive vaccination drive is going on in the remaining 16 districts of the Union Territory.
Jammu and Kashmir is among the leading regions in the country in vaccination of above 45 years age group having vaccinated 66 percent of its eligible population which is well above the national average of 32 percent.

Udhampur, May 25: Farmers at village Chari Sallian near Udhampur Railway Station are bearing the brunt of a deep drain flowing by the side of their fields as during rainy season flooded drain pushes the gushing water in the fields thereby spoiling the crops there.

New Delhi, May 25 : The Centre on Tuesday advised states and UTs to plan for scaling up vaccination coverage through available stocks and anticipated supplies till the end of June, while private hospitals were advised not to allow offline vaccine registration as all registrations should be online.
