Pak escalates infiltration bids in JK ! | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 28: Frustrated by the masterstroke played by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi by the revocation of the so-called special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019, neighboring Pakistan seems to have escalated infiltration bids in J&K to “keep the pot boiling and to derail peace.”
In the recent past, the infiltration bids are being reported from the frontier regions of both Jammu and Kashmir, seemingly to foil the path of peace and prosperity, which the region has picked up, with the valley witnessing record tourism after decades. On May 25, the security forces launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) after suspicious movement was reported from Line of Control area in Poonch sector in Jammu region.
Police and Indian Army launched the massive operation in the area along LoC with several areas being taken into cordon.

SRINAGAR, May 28: Security forces shot dead two militants in an encounter in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, police said. The gun battle erupted at Shitipora Bijbehara during an anti militancy operation which was launched on an input, they said.
“As the search party proceeded towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired indiscriminately, which was retaliated leading to an encounter. JAMMU, May 28: Army rescued 10 civilians stranded on the landslide-hit Mughal Road in Poonch district. Jammu-based Defence PRO Lt Col Devender Anand on Saturday said that last night at around 1100 PM, Army Unit received an SOS call from police regarding a landslide which had blocked the Old Mughal Road.
“Responding immediately, a Rescue Team from the Unit accompanied by J&K Police personnel launched the operation,” he said.

NEW DELHI, May 28: The government today said it will develop a framework to keep a check on fake reviews posted on e-commerce websites and apps to protect consumer interest.
The consumer affairs ministry along with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) held a virtual meeting with stakeholders, including e-commerce entities, to discuss the magnitude of fake reviews on their platforms. Fake reviews mislead consumers into buying online products and services.

JAMMU, May 28; A motorcyclist was killed and 28 people injured in separate road accidents in Kathua and Udhampur districts. Police said that a biker suffered injuries when his motorbike collided head on with a car near Hiranagar on Jammu-Pathankot national highway.
