The penultimate phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections recorded 63.37 per cent voter turnout with 7.05 crore out of 11.13 crore eligible voters exercising their franchise, the Election Commission of India on Tuesday said.
As many as 58 seats in eight states went to polls in the sixth phase on May 25.

Srinagar, May 28: Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Tuesday predicted a "slight relief" from the present heat wave for four days from May 30 over Jammu and Kashmir.
The MeT office said there is a possibility of "slight relief from heat wave/hot & dry weather conditions during May 30-31 & June 1-2 over most parts of Kashmir division & few hilly areas of Jammu division".
However, there will be no respite in heat waves/hot & dry weather conditions over plains of the Jammu division during the next 7 days. Jammu recorded the maximum temperature at 43.6 ?C on Tuesday and it was 4.5 ?C above normal during this period of the season.

JAMMU, May 28: The CBI on Tuesday said it has arrested a revenue official for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 18,000 from a person for processing his application for land settlement in Ramban district.
Mohd Ishaq Bhat, who was posted as Office Qanoongo in Banihal Tehsildar’s office, was arrested on Monday after he was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe money from the complainant, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said in a statement here. Police said after obtaining an attachment order from Sub Judge Uri, it attached properties (3 Kanals & 19 Marlas) land worth lakhs of rupees belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan.

Jammu, May 28: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Tuesday ordered summer vacation for all government and private schools from June 1 to July 16 in summer zone areas of the region.
