Govt order couldn’t sustain till serial no 100 for transfers of 403 JEs

Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, May 2: “In the interest of administration, the following transfers and postings of Junior Engineers (Civil) of PW(R&B) department with the state position of approximately 05 years and above at same place/wing are hereby ordered with immediate effect”, govt order no. 149-PW (R&B) of 2022 dated 25/02/2022 read in which 403 Junior Engineers reshuffled, but unfortunately the objective of this could not sustain till serial no. 99, as the official mentioned with the number managed his choicest posting with 15 months of his previous transfer. This is not only single case, but there are over several dozen cases of pre-mature transfers/posting have been reported in the above said order. “Serial number 99, 101 and 116 have managed their new posting within 15 months of their previous transfer, vide order ni32-PW(R&B) of 2021, dated 22/01/2021, while serial number 118 govt order no. 149-PW (R&B) of 2022 dated 25/02/2022 also managed his posting after three years”, said JE on the condition of secrecy, and added there were several JEs working at sam...

Early Times Report Kathua, May 2: Residents of Kathua took to the streets on Monday against the water and electricity scarcity in their area. Protesters told reporters that they have been left to fend on their own by the administration. “Our taps are running dry, our homes have been plunged into darkness and the situation is turning from bad to worse. We want to ask the helmsmen how we can live without water,” they said. Early Times Report Doda, May 2: DDC, BDC members, panchs and sarpanchs staged a massive protest outside the office of Deputy Commissioner here on Monday against the electricity crisis in the district. Protesters sat on a dharna and demanded explanation from the district administration. “It’s unfortunate that despite Chenab Valley being the hub of power production, its residents are suffering in absence of electricity,” protesters said, “We were told on August 5, 2019 that J&K would witness revolution and destinies of people will change.
