Jammu, May 29: Five days after staging a protest against the alleged detention of her party workers and polling agents on the eve of elections for the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat, an FIR has been registered against Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
The FIR, filed in response to the May 25 protest, accuses Mufti of blocking the main road in Bijbehara, Anantnag, a move deemed a “gross violation” of the MCC and Section 144. According to the FIR, the protest, led by Mufti and involving a significant number of PDP workers, disrupted the area for over an hour.

JAMMU, May 29: The online helicopter booking facility for Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims is likely to commence in the first week of June. The 52-day yatra will start on June 29 and conclude on August 19. “Online booking of helicopter services for the pilgrims is likely to start in the first week of June,” official sources said.
They added that the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) will soon issue the final date, fare, and other related information for online booking of helicopters on its official website (Helicopter Service at Amarnath Yatra).

Jammu, May 29: As the heatwave continued in parts of the Jammu region, devastating fire engulfed the forest area along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
