2 JeM terrorists killed in Pulwama encounter | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 30: Security forces shot dead two local Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in a gun battle in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police said.
The two slain were identified as Saqib and Abid Shah who were allegedly involved in the killing of a policeman on May 13 at Gudoora Pulwama.
"The two Jaish terrorists were involved in the killing of unarmed police constable Riyaz Ahmed on May 13," Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Vijay Kumar said.
Kumar said the operation was launched on Sunday evening at Gundipora area of Pulwama following a specific input about the presence of Jaish men in the area. As the cordon was being laid in the village, there was an exchange of fire.
"As it got pitch dark and the terrorists shifted in two to three houses, the operation was put on hold for the night. This morning two terrorists of Jaish were killed," Kumar said.
Two AK rifles were also recovered from the encounter site.

Gunfight breaks out in Awantipora | | |

Srinagar, May 30: A gunfight has raged between militants and security forces in Awantipora sub-district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Monday evening.
This is the second gun battle in Kashmir in the last 24 hours.
The latest gunfight erupted at Rajpora area of Awantipora during a cordon and a search operation.
"As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight," a security official said.
A policeman spokesman said Police and security forces are on the job.

NEW DELHI, May 30: Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla have secured the first, second and third rank respectively in the civil services examination 2021, results of which were announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on May 30.
As many as 685 candidates have qualified the prestigious test, it said, without sharing further details of the candidates selected in the examination.

New Delhi, May 30: Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in an alleged money laundering case.
The probe agency alleged that the minister in the Arvind Kejriwal Government was involved in hawala transactions with a Kolkata-based firm in 2015-16.
