JAMMU, May 3: The suspicion and doubts over the Crime Branch investigation in infamous Rasana rape and murder case is growing with each passing day with several questions being raised over the alleged presence of one of the accused Vishal Jangotra, who has been named in the charge sheet, at the crime spot.
After revelations made by a national news channel that Vishal in fact was in Meerapur on January 12 and January 15 which was substantiated through the medium of CCTV footages of two different ATMs belonging to Corporation Bank and State Bank of India respectively. The CCTV footages of the ATMs showed that Vishal withdrew cash on both the occasions.
Following the disclosure, the questions are being raised that whether Vishal was falsely implicated in the Rasana case.
Meanwhile, fresh statements made before a national news channel by the three roommates of Vishal has further deepened the suspicion over Crime Branch investigation as they told the channel that Vishal was with them in Meerapur from January 9 to 15. The multi-crore ration scam was detected by Crime Branch after conducting raids at various outlets and go-downs in the month of September in year 2016 and accordingly an FIR 51/2016 was registered.
