Jammu gets no respite from power cuts | | |

Jammu, May 4: The Centre allocating additional 207 Megawatts of power to Jammu and Kashmir seems to have made no difference for the people of Jammu region. They are still grappling with the frequent power shutdowns and curtailments.
People are seen protesting on streets against the indifferent attitude of the Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) and seem to have given up hope about them being heard.
In few areas power cuts are announced in advance while in many areas electricity is snapped without any prior notice. People have been left high and dry in this scorching heat and JK Government seems to have no idea about how to diffuse the crisis.

Jammu, May 4: Demand for a high-level probe into the expenditure of the recently held rally at Palli Panchayat in Samba district gained momentum.
Despite spending crores and crores of rupees, the firm engaged in the event management has miserably failed to come up to the expectations of both Union and UT governments.
