Jammu, May 8: Amid a surge in Coronavirus cases, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to release COVID kit for all positive patients in the Union Territory. Drive to the distribution of kits is going to start from Sunday -- simultaneously from Jammu and Kashmir divisions respectively by the concerned Divisional Commissioners.
As per the official Twitter handle of the Department of Information and Public Relations, J&K Government, “COVID kit to be distributed amongst all those testing COVID positive in J&K. Distribution begins from tomorrow, May 9, Sunday”.

Anantnag, May 8: Exposing preparedness claims of authorities, a video showing an old lady gasping for breath at Government Medical College Anantnag, on Saturday went viral on social media.
The video was shared by the lady’s attendants, who alleged, that the Associated Hospital of Government Medical College Anantnag was facing acute shortage of high flow medical oxygen.

SRINAGAR, May 8: There seems to be no let up in Corona Virus deaths in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir as 60 more people died in the past 24 hours following which the death toll reached 2,672. Total number of the positive cases reached 2, 11,742 following 4,788 fresh cases.
Jammu district reported 23 fresh COVID-19 deaths followed by Budgam district six deaths, Srinagar and Rajouri districts five deaths each, Ramban district four deaths, Kathua, Udhampur and Pulwama districts three deaths each and Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch, Doda, Kupwara, Anantnag, Bandipora & Kulgam districts one death each.
