Jammu, June 9: A senior official in the Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL), who was already under the scanner for “serious misconduct” faces fresh charges over alleged misbehavior with the subordinates as engineers of the department have sought intervention of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha into the complaint.
The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineers Graduate Association (JKEEGA) has accused the official of use of “unparliamentarily language and use of abusive language against the subordinates.
In a formal handout the JKEEGA said: “On 03.06.2023 (Designation and identity withheld) KPDCL while coming back from Holy Amarnath Ji Cave called the officers of Circle Ganderbal KPDCL and met them at Rayil Pathri District Ganderbal. During the course of discussion (identity withheld) without any reason started abusing Superintending Engineer, Ex. Engineer, AEE and JE’s of Circle ED Ganderbal KPDCL,” the JKEEGA said.

Anantnag, June 9: Huge money was spent on the plantation drive carried out from Lethpora to Qazigund on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As of date all the saplings that were planted on the highway have either dried up or have vanished. “When this initiative was taken, everyone praised it. But it seems that after planting the saplings the department forgot about it,” said a local.

Jammu, June 9: In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has upheld the order of the Additional Anticorruption Court Udhampur, which discharged Kunal Sharma, the former Tehsildar of Katra, in a high-profile case involving a scam worth Rs 9.55 crore in stamp duty.
