Jammu, June 10: In a major embarrassment for the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party, which often demand “talks and good relations with Pakistan”, a senior journalist from the neighboring country has dubbed Abdullahs and Muftis as the “beneficiaries of Kashmir industry” and that they should mend their ways now.
At the first-ever literary festival held in the Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir’s capital of Muzaffarabad, Pakistani journalist Wusatullah Khan said Kashmir was a burden for Pakistan and that NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah and his PDP counterpart Mehbooba Mufti are beneficiaries of Kashmir industry.
He said all the political parties of POK were also the beneficiaries of the same “Kashmir industry.”
Interestingly those protesting against the abrogation of the so called special status of Jammu and Kashmir got exposed right inside the POK during the Pakistan Literature Festivals (PLFs) during the special session that was actually supposed to be on the Article 370 and 35A.

Jammu, June 10: Even as senior Bharatiya Janta Party leader and Member Parliament, Ghulam Ali Khatana recently filed complaint with the Raj Bhawan against a police officer posted in Doodhpathri area of Budgam district, the accused is set to face charges of grabbing “Hafta” from poor people.
Sources said the Pony Walas operating at the resort have told the MP, who had recently visited the area, that the police officer of the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police, had been grabbing “Hafta” of around Rs 300 per day.

Jammu, June 10: The arrest of three Kashmiri youth linked with the dreaded Islamic State terror outfit from Gujarat worried security agencies because Kashmir’s links with international terror organizations have been repeatedly established.
The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) Gujarat Police busted the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP) module by arresting three youth of Srinagar from Porbandar and one woman from Surat. All the arrested persons were planning to escape the country by sea and go to Afghanistan for training.

Srinagar, June 10: A security conference was held here on Saturday for the successful conduct of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, a defence official said.
Srinagar-based PRO defence Col Emron Musavi said a joint security conference of officials of security forces and the civil administration was aimed to increase synergy, interaction and coordination for a smooth and incident-free annual pilgrimage.
The 62-day yatra to the 3,880-metre high holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas is scheduled to start on July 1 from two routes — the traditional 48-km Nunwan route in south Kashmir’s Pahalgam and the 14-km Baltal route in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal.
