Hr Edu Deptt favours Kashmiri candidates for contractual faculty | Jammu aspirants ignored | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: The policy of Higher Education department to engage contractual faculty members in colleges has allegedly been Kashmir centric with criterian devised to benefit Kashmir based candidates while Jammu based would be ignored.
The criterian has allegedly been framed by the department, in total violation of the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for selection of Assistant Professors as well as Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) norms for engagements.
The contractual faculty members of Jammu informed Early Times that as per UGC criterian for selection of Assistant Professors, NET/SLET is compulsory eligibility while the candidates with Ph.D without having NET, are also fall under eligibility criteria. Last year when Higher Edu Deptt made contractual engagements vide order number 78-HE of 2018 dated 8/2/2018, the NET/SLET and Ph.D have 6 points. JAMMU, June 11: Tulmulla pilgrims today criticized the authorities for playing traunt with them.
Hundreds of pilgrims who went to holy shrine from Jammu in Government arranged buses said that they were awakened at 5 am this morning and asked to be ready for return journey.
The pilgrims said even they were not allowed to wash face or go to toilet.
Some pilgrims having hypertension and diabetes said they were not allowed to have a mild breakfast which is much necessary for them before taking medicine to keep their blood sugar level and hypertension down.

Srinagar, June 11: The Income-Tax Department today initiated probe into the alleged irregularities and conducted searches at 10 premises on the business firm of Deputy Mayor, Sheikh Mohammad Imran.
The action was taken within days of Anti-Corruption Bureau action against Jammu & Kashmir Bank.

Doda, June 11: Even after passing of two years, the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has failed to start Rs 1.5 crore pipeline scheme from Bhono Nallah to Bari village.
Bari village, comprising of a population of more than 3000, is situated in Marmat tehsil of Doda district, just 35 kilometers from the district headquarter. A deputation from Bari village on Tuesday met Deputy Commissioner Doda in this regard.
