Even 2 weeks after Deepu’s killing; Babus, politicians have no time to visit his family | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: Senior politicians and top bureaucrats of Jammu and Kashmir have no time to visit the residence of poor Deepak Kumar alias Deepu who was killed by terrorists on May 29 in the Anantnag district of Kashmir Valley.
Although hard-hitting and heavily worded press notes have been issued by senior politicians, they could not spare time to visit the residence of the poor terror victim to express their condolence.
Reports said that various promises have been made on the papers and verbal instructions have been issued to minimize the miseries of the poor family but neither top bureaucrats nor senior political muster the guts to personally visit the ill-fated family that lost the lone breadwinner.
The national as well as regional parties have deputed their second-rung leaders but top brass has yet to visit the family which is still living in abject poverty.
As reported earlier by the Early Times expect issuing statements and tweeting from Twitter handles Jammu-based politicians also skipped the cremation of Deepak Kumar alias Deepu.

Jammu, June 11: The Delhi chief minister and the Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and has been unable to bag support from Kashmir politicians over the ordinance passed by the Lieutenant Governor of the national capital.
While the National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has openly taken dig at Kejriwal, the sources said the Peoples Democratic Party was equally unwilling to give him any support.
The Peoples Conference and Apni Party, on the other hand, are also unlikely to go against the Bharatiya Janta Party decisions about Delhi.

Jammu, June 11: Although the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) has cleared the way for the inclusion of the “Pahari ethnic group” in the Scheduled Tribes list of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, uncertainty still looms large as no decision has been taken so far in this regard.
Highly placed sources said that Union Government is looking at all pros and cons of granting ST status to Paharis before taking any final decision in this regard.
