Jammu, June 13: Principal Government Medical College Jammu, Dr Nasib Chand Digra, during his quarantine period chaired an important meeting on June 9, 2020 thus putting the lives of other participants at stake.
According to the documents available with Early Times, the officiating principal of GMC Jammu issued a meeting notification on June 8, 2020 asking the selected doctors to assemble in the committee room of the Principal office, GMC Jammu to discuss the issues for conduct of MBBS examinations. The meeting notification stated that the following doctors/officer are requested to attend the meeting: Director Principal, ASCOMS Jammu along with members of academic team, Dr Dinesh Kumar, Professor & Head, P&SM, Dr Subhash Bhardwaj, Professor & Head, Pathology, Dr Mritunjay Gupta, Professor, Physiology, Dr Seema Gupta, Professor, Pharmacology, Dr. Vishal Tandon, Professor, Pharmacology, Dr. Rakesh Bahl, Associate Professor, Pharmacology, Administrative Officer, GMC Jammu.

SRINAGAR, June 13: The death toll due to Corona Virus in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 55 as two more persons fell prey to the virus in the valley today. In the meantime, 148 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from the union territory today.
Reports said that a doctor putting up in the Parraypora area of Srinagar died due to COPD today at the JVC Bemina Hospital. The doctor basically a resident of Baramulla had tested positive for COVID-19 few days back and was admitted to the hospital. Later in the day a resident of Shopian died at the SMHS Hospital. Jammu, June 13: Within days after the first patient was tested positive for Coronavirus in J&K, the UT administration had announced to provide health insurance to all residents of J-K.
Although an announcement in this regard was made, no further action has been taken so far.
