anantnag, June 15: The Cricket Association Anantnag has decided to approach Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after the J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) claimed that a young cricketer Rasikh Salam has fudged his age.
If found guilty, Rasik Salam, who belongs to South Kashmir's Kulgam district, will have to face criminal action and could also be banned for two seasons.
Noted businessman and newly elected president of Anantnag Cricket Association, Farooq Amin told Early Times that they are going to approach the BCCI and will request them to reconsider its decision on humanitarian grounds.

Jammu, June 15: Fresh cracks have surfaced in the Peoples Democratic Party as party's senior leader from north Kashmir is "ignoring the party."
Sources said the leader from north Kashmir, who has also remained Member Parliament, has not been in good terms with the party leadership for the past few weeks.
Sources said the leader had even avoided the party meeting that was scheduled to be held at the weekend and that following his "cold response" the party decided to postpone the said meeting.

srinagar, June 15: Despite government's tall claims, hundreds of employees who performed duties as polling officials during urban local bodies, panchayat elections are yet to get one month additional salary.
The state government had announced additional salary to all the government employees who were on poll duties during urban local bodies and panchayat elections.
The employees performed duties for 1,145 wards in 79 municipal bodies in Jammu and Kashmir. While the employees then performed duties for nine-phase panchayat polls in the state to 316 blocks in 4,483 panchayat Halqas comprising 35,029 panch constituencies from November 17.
