SRINAGAR, June 15: The Reconciliation, Return and Rehabilitation of Migrant Kashmiri Pandits has rejected the inquiry committee set up by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to investigate the “scam of Rs 2,340 crores”.
“We had brought the scam to light on May 17 in a press conference. We had even given documentary proof, which showed how political activists of the National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party and Congress were getting monthly monetary benefits from the government exchequer from the share meant for the persecuted members of the Kashmiri Pandit community. We had sought an investigation by the CBI or the ACB. Instead, the government has formed an inquiry committee which includes members who were involved in the process of enrolling the activists and disbursing the money to them,” Chairman Reconciliation Return and Rehabilitation, Satish Mahaldar, said in a statement.

Srinagar, June 15: While Pakistan has long been known for death and destruction in Jammu and Kashmir, in the latest it has been established by police that the enemy country is running the drug trafficking in the union territory.
Official sources in police said the revelation came to fore from Kashmir when six terrorist associates were arrested with drugs and arms both adding that the consignment was likely to reach Jammu.
It was reliably learnt that the Jammu and Kashmir Police are expecting an even bigger breakthrough in the drug smuggling linked to Pakistan.

As per the official, no-confidence motion was filed by Waheed Dar, who is a councilor from Zakura along with 42 councilors against Mayor SMC last week.

SRINAGAR, June 15: There has now been a surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the Union Territory Ladakh.
In May, the Ladakh was declared COVID free after all the infected people recovered from this deadly disease.
However, the coronavirus scare has again started haunting people of Ladakh as over 550 people have been infected by this deadly disease so far.
“In the last three days, over 410 positive cases have been recorded in Ladakh,” an official said.
