JKCA scam: ‘Sword of Damocles’ again hangs over Farooq Abdullah’s head | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 16: Worries ahead for former Chief Minister and president of National Conference as the court has decided to hear charges in the infamous Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam on July 6.
The veteran politician of the country, Dr. Farooq Abdullah had earlier served as president of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA). He was earlier summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED several times earlier in the same case.
As per reports, the trial court on Thursday started an effective hearing in the multi-crore scam on framing of charges against the accused persons involved in the case and kept the matter for further hearing.
Notably, the scam was exposed in the year 2012 when Muhammad Aslam Goni, the then JKCA managing committee chairman, lodged an FIR with the police against two office bearers of the JKCA. He accused the duo of pushing the funds into bogus bank accounts created in the name of the association.

Jammu, June 16: Even as Germany has agreed to distribute an additional $1.4 billion to Holocaust survivors around the world next year, the victimized Kashmir Pandits have pitched voices seeking similar compensation.
About the victims of the Nazi rule, the figure was negotiated with Germany’s finance ministry on behalf of Holocaust survivors around the world, said the Claims Conference, the New York-based nonprofit working to secure restitution and compensation for Jews who suffered under the Nazis.
The compensation for the Jews includes funding for direct compensation for survivors, social welfare services and continued funding for Holocaust education.

Jammu, June 16: A Division Bench of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court at Srinagar, comprising Chief Justice N. Kotishwar Singh and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, has granted permission to the government to raise temporary structures for the convenient transit of the Yatris/Pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra. However, these structures must be demolished and the earlier position restored after the conclusion of this year's Yatra.
