BJP leader wants Ramgarh college to come up at place of his choice | 4-years on, construction site not selected yet | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 1: Although authorities are trying to evolve a consensus to select a suitable place for the Degree College Ramgarh, a senior BJP leader is trying to get the proposed college constructed at a particular place.
Highly placed sources said that instead of fulfilling the demand of the people to construct a college at the centre place the BJP leader is trying his best to get it constructed in a place that is not centrally located.
After fulfilling the demand of the people of this area, the State Administrative Council in its meeting held on January 15, 2019, under the chairmanship of the then Governor Satya Pal Malik announced 40 new degree colleges including one for Ramgarh.
“Over four years have passed after the announcement of college but authorities have failed to select a place for the construction of the building due to the attitude of that BJP leader”, a source said, adding, “The BJP leader has vested interest in getting the college building constructed at a particular area”.

Jammu, June 1: Intensifying the campaign to snap the supply line of narcotics in the Union Territory, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir arrested two interstate drug peddlers of Punjab from Rajouri.
The accused have been identified as Onkar Singh and Shamsher Singh, both residents of Gurdaspur district of Punjab the police said.
With these arrests, cops have been investigating their link with terrorists because they used to deposit money in the accounts of drug lords of Jammu and Kashmir.

Samba, June 1: A suspected Pakistani intruder was shot dead by BSF troops along the International Border (IB) Samba district in the early hours of Thursday, officials said.
The incident took place near Mangu Chak border outpost (BoP) in Samba sector around 2:50 am, they said.
"In the early hours today, alert BSF troops noticed suspicious movement of a person, who crossed the IB from Pakistan's side, in Samba area," a Border Security Force spokesperson said.
He was challenged by the troops but the intruder kept advancing towards the border fencing. The troops opened fire, killing him, the spokesperson said.

Acting on specific information regarding the movement of terrorists in Frestihar Kreeri village, the security forces placed a mobile vehicle checkpoint (MVCP) at the Frestihar Waripora crossing, a police spokesperson said.

Jammu, June 1: Registrar General J and K High Court Shahzad Azeem issued a notification regarding change of timing in High Court Jammu and Kashmir and Subordinate Courts of Jammu Division during the Summer Session.
According to the notification, the timing of High Court and Subordinate Courts from 5th June, 2023 to September 30, 2023 will be 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM for High Court Wing Jammu.
According to the order issued by Registrar General Shahzad Azeem that High Court registry will work from 8: 30 AM to 3:00 PM with half an hour break from 11:30 PM to 12 Noon whereas Court timing from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM with the half an hour break from 11:30 AM to 12 noon.
