Udhampur,June 20: Kaku Ram, who was injured in a blast at Salathia Chowk here last year, had lost his power to hear, after not getting any immediate assistance from the authorities, the victim ended his own life as he was unable to bear the immense pain and suffering caused by his disability.
According to Kaku Ram’s wife the unfortunate incident occurred approximately 22 days after Ram’s hearing was impaired in a blast triggered by the terrorists that rocked the Slathia Chowk vicinity.

JAMMU, June 20: After abolishing the age-old practice of the "Darbar Move", the Union Territory administration is mulling over the six-day working week of the Civil Secretariat in both the capital cities of the Union Territory. Presently, there is a five-day working system in the Civil Secretariat of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said that this proposal was placed before higher-ups in March this year but the same could not materialize. "Now once again higher-ups are thinking about this proposal", sources said.
Although no final decision in this regard has been taken, sources said that authorities are exploring the pros and cons of introducing this decision.
