Jammu, June 23: The ugly incident at the Quaid-e-Azam University of Islamabad in Pakistan, in which 20 Kashmiri students were seriously injured, has exposed the dubious character of Hurriyat leaders.
On the one hand, Hurriyat leaders have cheated poor Kashmiris in the name of providing technical education to their children in Pakistan, on the other Kashmiri students are facing the wrath of Pakistani students.
Recently the State Investigation Agency (SIA) has filed a chargesheet in the infamous selling MBBS seats scam. This scam has exposed how the Hurriyat leaders have brazenly looted the hard-earned money of the people and dumped youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

Poonch, June 23: Residents of Poonch town are worried as the embankments of Irrigation and Flood Control Department near Police Station are being eroded by tractors and JCBs.

New Delhi, June 23: Senior IPS officer Dinkar Gupta was Thursday appointed Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), a Personnel Ministry order said.
Gupta is a 1987-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Punjab cadre.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Gupta’s appointment as the Director General, NIA till March 31, 2024, that is the date of his retirement, it said.
In another order, Swagar Das was appointed Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Home Ministry.
Das, a 1987-batch IPS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, is currently Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau.

Srinagar, June 23: Seven tourists from Jharkhand had a miraculous escape on Thursday when a houseboat they had hired capsized in the Dal Lake here.
The B Class houseboat Kolhai sank early in the morning, causing panic.
Its owner Mohammad Yousuf and others quickly evacuated the tourists which included two children and two women and shifted them to the shore safely amid heavy rains. "My first priority was to rescue the tourists as it was the issue of human lives, he said.
