Submit report of party’s vote share in your localities: BJP high command to senior leaders | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 24: After the vote share of the BJP has drastically declined in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the party leadership has asked all senior leaders to submit details of polling booths of their localities.
As reported earlier despite retaining both the Lok Sabha seats of Jammu province, the biggest worry for BJP is the sharp decline in the party’s vote share from 46.2 percent to 24.36 percent which is a warning signal for the party.
Sources said that party leadership has asked all senior leaders from Mandal president of state office bearers to submit details of polling booths of their localities.
“From Mandal presidents to state office bearers all leaders have to submit details of total votes in their polling booths and number of votes the party candidates have secured from their booths”, sources said.
Sources further said that the majority of the senior leaders of the party including state office bearers, district presidents, and Mandal presidents have failed to ensure lead for party candidates in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections... | |

Jammu, June 24: Despite surrendering all three Lok Sabha seats to the National Conference in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has started preparations for at least 15 Assembly seats in Kashmir Valley.
Highly placed sources said that Congress has prepared a list of potential candidates in 15 Assembly segments of Kashmir Valley where the party would field its candidates in the coming polls.

RAJOURI/JAMMU, June 24: A woman allegedly killed her eight-day-old newborn daughter by leaving her in a nearly dry pond under direct sunlight, causing the baby to die from heat, hunger and thirst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said on Monday. Police received a report on Sunday about an infant’s body lying in a nearly dry pond in Kadma Prat village in Sunderbani tehsil and promptly sent a team to recover it, the officials said.
During investigation, the victim’s mother, Sharifa Begum, accused the father, Mohammad Iqbal, of the crime, they said.
