Will J&K Govt revoke SRO-202? | ‘5-year probation with meager salary haunts appointees’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 2: At a time when the Central Government has announced massive recruitment drive for Jammu and Kashmir, the question being asked is whether the J&K Government would revoke SRO-202 or it will continue to remain in vogue?
Under the SRO 202, during the period of first five years, the government appointees are entitled to the minimum pay scale along with the grade pay applicable to the post against which they are appointed. And further, every appointee after completion of five years period on probation is entitled to fixation of pay in the time-scale of pay applicable to the post against which he is appointed. This rule was enacted in the State under the regime of the PDP-BJP coalition amid much opposition from the social and civil society groups who termed it tantamount to “slaughtering the abilities of the talented youth and rendering them into monkeys being thrown the peanuts.”

SRINAGAR, June 2: Two more persons were declared COVID-19 positive today, a day after they died, even though 117 fresh cases of Corona Virus were reported from the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Reports said that two persons including an elderly woman and a 27-year-old youth from North Kashmir’s Baramulla and Kupwara districts were declared COVID-19 positive today. POONCH, June 2: Falling across the Line of Control In Mendhar Sub division, Tehsil Balakote sans the communication facility in forward villages sources said here today.
As per sources the 12 villages falling across the fence on LoC in Balakote have no communication facility. No phone or mobile works there. People have to cross fence and then only are able to get connectivity. This area has not road connectivity too.
