GMC authorities under cloud for alleged favouritism | Recruitment of staff for DRDO hospital | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 2: Even as authorities of Government Medical College Jammu are claiming to release a selection list of Nursing Supervisors for newly constructed 500-bedded DRDO hospital but the biggest question is about criteria adopted for the selection process.
It is alleged that taking undue advantage of the emergent situation, authorities of GMC Jammu have managed adjustment of some blue-eyed boys. Although GMC authorities have put a selection list on its website, some candidates alleged favourtism in the selection process.
GMC authorities had issued an advertisement for recruitment on May 20 in which applications were invited from eligible candidates, for engagement in this 500 bedded temporary Covid Hospital initially for a period of one year extendable up to a maximum of three years (One year at a time and further extension subject to good performance and conduct).

Jammu, June 2: Even as Covid-19 has badly affected pilgrimage tourism at the shrine of Mata Vaishnu Devi, which is seen as the backbone of economy in Jammu, the Tourism officials look more concerned about resumption of tourism in Kashmir alone.
Within a day, the Tourism department held at least three high level meetings and inspections for resumption of tourism in Kashmir while around half a dozen such events were held within a week. But no such mega development could be reported from Jammu.
