Jammu, June 3: Former Chief Minister and senior National Conference, leader Omar Abdullah has been “missing” from the Jammu and Kashmir with some of his party cadres “seeking his whereabouts”.
Sources said for the last around a month Omar has not been seen at any of the party or social activities in his native Kashmir “even at the most crucial times.”
As per the sources, he has been “out of town” but that the party has been asked to be silent about the issue as his “trip is a bit confidential and personal.”
Sources said Omar “could be away with some of his nears and dears and thus wants to keep the visit highly confidential.”
Interestingly Omar has not even posted about his alleged trip out of Jammu and Kashmir.
“He wants to give a feel through his social media posts that he is here but actually none has seen him for the last over a month,” said a source in the NC on the condition of anonymity.

Jammu, June 3: Although all political parties in Jammu and Kashmir are demanding maiden assembly polls in the Union Territory as early as possible, chances of elections look bleak as the Election Commission of India has yet not taken any initiative in this regard.
A letter written by the Election Commission of India to different poll-bound states is a clear indication that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is not on its list for conducting elections soon.

Jammu, June 3: Amid strong resentment among ex-loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad for being sidelined and repeatedly humiliated in the party by their juniors, AICC incharge J&K Rajni Patil on Saturday assured that due respect will be given to those who have joined or joining the Congress from other parties.
