Jammu, June 5: Victims of the infamous Dhangri terror attack have seemed to run out of patience as promises of the authorities to track down perpetrators, within a stipulated time, yet to be translated into reality.
Six months have passed when terrorists claimed the lives of seven unarmed civilians including two minor children, in two back-to-back attacks in the Dhangri village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
A day after the gruesome terror attack, higher-ups in the administration promised that those involved in committing this crime would be brought to justice as earlier as possible but security forces have yet to get any lead in this incident.
On Monday some victim families interacted with the media to remind authorities of their promise.

Deepu Kumar’s wife delivers baby week after husband’s killing | | |

JAMMU, June 5: A week after she lost her husband to a terror attack in Anantnag district, Gudiya gave birth to a baby boy at her mud house in Udhampur district.
Deepu Kumar, 27, who worked at a circus in the Janglat Mandi area in the south Kashmir district, was shot dead by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists when he had gone to the market to buy milk around 8.30 pm on May 29.
“Gudiya delivered a baby boy on Sunday.
Although it is a happy moment for the family, it is heartbreaking to see Deepu not here to take a glimpse of his child,” Surma Devi, a relative, said.
Kumar had married Gudiya about two years ago.

Jammu, June 5: Despite losing the 30-year long proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan hasn’t given up yet and is making desperate attempts to revive terrorism in the Union Territory.
According to the sources, terror training camps are still intact in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the terrorist handlers are making every attempt to push the terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir. “The leaders of the terror groups based in PoK are using social media to radicalize the youth and are also trying to revive their old contacts,” sources added.

Jammu, June 5: Determined to dismantle the ecosystem of terror, the Jammu and Kashmir Police may soon “approach” the Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) to apprehend 36 hardcore terrorists hailing from Kishtwar district representing different terrorist outfits and are presently operating from the Pakistan or the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
Police sources said that 36 hardcore terrorists of different outfits from Kishtwar district, are already identified, who exfiltrated to the Pakistan or the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir in mid 90s.

Amritsar, June 5: The Border Security Force shot down a Pakistani drone near the International Border in Punjab’s Amritsar and recovered over 3 kg of heroin, a spokesperson of the force said on Monday.
After noticing the unmanned aerial vehicle at around 9:45 pm on Sunday, the BSF troops intercepted it by opening fire.

Jammu, June 5: Setting a new record this year in the first five months, more than 38 lakhs pilgrims have visited the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine nestled in Trikuta Hills of Katra town in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources on Monday said that in view of summer vacations, presently there is a huge rush in the Katra town and pilgrims are leaving for the Bhawan to pay obeisance at the cave shrine.
“This year so far in the first five months, 38.47 lakh (38,47,584) pilgrims have visited the cave shrine,” said an official.
