After teenage girl, auto driver found dead in Katra hotel | Victim’s family alleges murder, seeks justice | | Early Times Report
Katra, June 6: Nearly two months after a teenage girl was found dead in a hotel in Katra, an auto driver’s body was recovered under mysterious circumstances from another hotel in the town on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Prem Chand son of Baldev Raj of Karmal had left his home around 4 pm on Monday and had spoken to his wife over phone for the last time around 6 pm.
Talking to reporters, family members of the deceased said, “He didn’t pick up the phone after 6pm despite us making repeated calls.”
They said, “We received a call from the police at around 3am with a direction to reach the hospital immediately. There we were told that he is dead.”

Mansa (Udhampur), June 6: Mother of a martyr Chaggar, who was killed in a grenade attack at Slathia Chowk in Udhampur last year, on Tuesday said that she hasn’t received her pension for the last 7 months.
Talking to a news channel, she said, “The old age pension of Rs 1000/ was stopped nearly 7 months before. I had to take Rs 500/ as a loan to pay the person to get my documents re-verified but till date my pension hasn’t been released.”

Mansa (Udhampur), June 6: Family of a martyr Chaggar, who was killed in a grenade blast at Slathia Chowk in Udhampur last year, is living in a miserable condition.
Chaggar’s mother and his deaf and dumb brother are living in a house having a temporary tin roof which leaks during the rainy season. They don’t have a LPG cylinder and have to cook their meals on old Chula using fire wood. There is no water connection.
Mother and brother of the martyr Chaggar have neither been provided with a house under Prime Minister Awas Yojana, nor have they been provided with a LPG gas connection. Neither bathroom nor a toilet was constructed for them under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
