Jammu, June 7: Though the state government vociferously sought age relaxation for the aspirants of J&K in the Indian Civil Services exams, it has reduced the age limit for the aspirants of Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) from 35 to 32 years.
As per an order (No: PSC/Exam/2018/38) issued by the J&K Public Service Commission, a total of 70 posts were advertised. The minimum age limit for the aspirants is 21 years and the upper age limit is 32 years.
"In all the previous notifications, the upper age limit for the aspirants was 35 years, which has now been reduced to 32 years, which is injustice with the aspirants", an aspirant said. He said the State Civil services exams were not regular like the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams, but still upper age limit has been reduced.
Castigating the state government, the aspirants said whenever it comes to slamming the Union government, all state leaders are up in arms, but they never bother about their own mistakes and blunders.
