Jammu, July 10: Even as some of the politicians of Kashmir have long been accused of double-speak, they don’t seem to have mend their ways even after the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
The alleged double speak of the politicians from some of the regional parties in Kashmir, including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Part, Peoples Conference and the Apni Party, has again come to fore since their meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by the visit of the Delimitation Commission to Jammu and Kashmir.
While the Peoples Democratic Party, President, Mehbooba Mufti after meeting the PM said the talks were fruitful, she ended up not meeting the Delimitation Commission.
While the National Conference in a formal letter to the Delimitation Commission have welcomed the delimitation exercise, the party leaders after the meeting the visiting delegates have been telling people that they have reservations over the long awaited exercise to redraw Assembly constituencies.

Jammu, July 10: As the Delimitation Commission winded up its four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, Kashmir centric parties started levelling charges on each other for “betraying” people.
Peoples Conference senior vice president and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil lambasted the National Conference for submitting a proposal to the delimitation panel in Jammu which echoes the BJP demands in framing a new criterion to delimit constituencies.

Jammu, July 10: To give a clear message to anti-national forces and ‘terror friendly’ employees in the administration, the Jammu and Kashmir government has sacked 11 employees including two sons of the terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen’s self-styled ‘supreme commander’ Sayeed Salahuddin.
These employees have terminated from service under sub-clause (c) of the provision of clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India in the interest of the nation.

Anantnag, July 10: Three militants were killed in an encounter at Kawarigam village of Achabal in Southern district of Anantang on Saturday, police said.
According to reports, acting on a specific lead, joint teams of police, army’s 19 RR and CRPF laid a siege at village Kawarigam in Achabal area. “When the joint teams zeroed in on the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire triggering a gun-battle,” the official said.
In the initial exchange of fire, two militants were killed while the third one continued to engage the forces from different locations. “After sometime, the third one was also killed,” the official said.
