SRINAGAR, July 12: The orders passed by the people at helm regarding ban on re-employment or re-engagement of retired government officers and officials were being trampled and there has been no difference even during the present dispensation led by Lieutenant Governor Girish Chander Murmu.
The latest example in this regard is the contractual engagement of Ghulam Nabi Khanday. Khanday who retired as Principal Private Secretary in the office of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on May 31, 2020 was showered the benefit of contractual engagement in the same office from June 1, 2020 for a period of three months.

Srinagar, July 12: Restrictions on public movement and activities are being imposed in 88 areas notified as COVID-19 red zones in Srinagar after a sharp spike in positive cases has been reported in the district in the last couple of weeks, officials said on Sunday.
The decision to impose restrictions has been taken after recommendations of experts and is aimed at containing further spread of the COVID-19 disease.

SRINAGAR, July 12: The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir continues to witness a surge in the Corona Virus cases as well as deaths associated with the virus. While 10 people lost their lives in the past 24 hours, 357 new cases of COVID-19 came to the fore today.
Reports said that while two deaths each were reported from Srinagar, Kulgam and Ganderbal districts, a death each came to the fore from Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara and Jammu districts.
