jammu, July 17: Purmandal, an ancient sacred place (tirathsthan), visited by thousands of devotees has been completely neglected by the government.
An Early Times team that visited the spot at the very beginning found the name of the Gupt Ganga, which is also known as Devika River, written a "Devika Nallah" on the entrance of the sacred place.
Due to lack of maintenance the entire area around Purmandal is in ruins. The park has turned into a jungle as it has not been maintained.
According to the locals the tirathsthan is spread over hundreds of kanal of land is in the name of Lord Shiva. "Such an important religious destination has been neglected by all the regimes in Jammu and Kashmir. No development has taken place during all the years," locals said.

Srinagar, July 17: The Jammu and Kashmir is all set to get two robots for conducting surgeries as the Premier Health Institute-Government Medical College Srinagar-has imparted the requisite training to 130 surgeons working in different health institutes across Kashmir.
