Former NC worker threatens to file FIR against party leadership, alleges ‘life threat’ | | |

Jammu, July 19: A former youth worker of the National Conference who would shower praises on the party leadership has said that he would file police complaint against the NC leadership.
“Filing an FIR at the Kothi Bagh Police Station against NC woman leader (name withheld) & one senior leader of NC on whose behest my life has been endangered. Have been assured that arrests will be made swiftly & guilty brought to justice. I hope my ordeal ignites courage amongst,” the former NC worker said.
The opponent party has responded saying “File.”
The verbal fight has become a humor for the social media users who have sharply reacted to the duel.

Jammu, July 19: Eight people, including five children, were killed after heavy rains triggered landslides and left several houses damaged in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Wednesday, officials said.
Kathua Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas ordered an immediate ex-gratia relief of Rs 50,000 to the kin of the deceased.
“We have eight confirmed deaths in rain-related incidents. The administration is keeping a close watch on the flood-like situation developing in the district,” Minhas said.

Jammu, July 19: The new track to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine has been closed for pilgrims in view of landslide threat as Katra town in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district received the heaviest rainfall in the past 43 years.
Chopper service to the shrine has also been suspended because of inclement weather. However, pilgrims can reach the shrine atop Trikuta Hills will continue on the old track, officials said on Wednesday.

Srinagar, July 19: Security forces foiled an infiltration bid and shot dead two suspected Pakistani militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said on Wednesday.
The bid was foiled in Machil sector of Kupwara district.
Officials said the operation was based on specific and credible intelligence developed by the Border Security Forces (BSF) intelligence wing.

Srinagar, July 19: A forest employee was killed and another injured in a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, officials said on Wednesday.
Police said two forest employees identified as Imran Yousaf Wani of Mohnu, Charar-e-Sharif of Budgam, and forester Jahangir Ahmed Chechi a resident of Gogjipather, Budgam- were shot at and injured last night by militants near Bangender Bridge in Pulwama.
