“Mysterious” post-graduate degrees of promoted teachers to be reverified | | |

Jammu, July 21: Although Crime Branch has produced a chargesheet against eight teachers for producing fake degrees to get higher status in physical education department, Education Department has already started a process to reverify degrees produced by teachers to get promotions.
Highly placed sources said that a large number of teachers have produced Post Graduate degrees to get promotions. These degrees were procured by these teachers from some mysterious universities.
“Post Graduate degrees procured by teachers through correspondence from some unknown degrees would be reverified to check authenticity”, sources said.
Sources said that hundreds of teachers have produced post-graduate degrees to get promotions as lecturers. These teachers were promoted on the basis of the degrees procured by them through correspondence mode.
As reported earlier, the Crime Branch has filed chargesheet against nine persons including one agent for producing fake degrees in the Education Department to higher grades.

Srinagar, July 21: A casual laborer working as contractual guard of the Forest Department who was killed in a terror attack in south Kashmir recently died a “lesser martyr” as the senior officials, didn’t even express condolences than to talk of announcing relief for the bereaved kin.

Jammu, July 21: The yatra on the new track of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi was suspended on Friday due to a landslide in Katra town of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The yatra, however, continues on the old traditional track.
“Landslides triggered on the new track at Himkoti during the wee hours,” the Shrine Boad official said.
He stated that the new track was closed due to a landslide, and the yatra has been suspended but is smoothly progressing on the traditional route.
The battery car service has also been suspended, he said, adding that the men are on the job to clear the track.

New Delhi, July 21: Protocol facilities made available to judges should not be used in a manner which causes inconvenience to others or brings public criticism to the judiciary, Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud has said in a letter to the chief justices of all the high courts.
