Srinagar, July 22: In violation of norms, a group of employees working at Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (J&KEDI) have fraudulently withdrawn travel allowance and excess salaries , Early Times learnt on Wednesday. The authorities, according to the sources, have also initiated a process of identifying those employees who have managed their appointments through backdoor in violation of norms.
Official sources revealed that a group of employees have withdrawn excess salaries without the approval of the competent authority.
“The excess drawls runs into Lakhs of rupees,” they claimed, adding the employees have also withdrawn travelling allowances in violation of the norms.

Srinagar, July 22: Even as the Jammu and Kashmir government deferred the elections for Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation citing the prevalent Covid-19 situation, the role played by the Bharatiya Janta Party top brass is not being ruled out.
Sources said the recent visit of the BJP top brass including Ram Madhav and Dr Jitendra Singh, flanked by other senior party leaders remained a game-changer for the SMC elections that were otherwise scheduled to be held on July 14.

SRINAGAR, July 22: The death toll due to the Corona Virus in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 273 as 10 more people died due to the virus in the past 24 hours. In the meantime, 453 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported today.

Srinagar, July 22: Srinagar is the worst district across Jammu and Kashmir where 3283 positive cases were detected until Tuesday. In comparison, Jammu district has reported 651 positive cases with 199 active positive cases and 440 recoveries.
