Separatists lose address, leaders like Mehbooba left red faced as J&K moves ahead | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 22: Abrogation of Article 370 has ended the separatism in Kashmir.
When the Centre announced its decision to revoke J&K’s special status on August 5, 2019, Kashmir centric leaders like Mehbooba Mufti and others had predicted that Kashmir will burn and the separatists like Hurriyat hawk Geelani, Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz, so-called JKLF chief Yasin Malik and others will run a parallel government in Kashmir. However, all their predictions have fallen flat as the separatists have lost their addresses during the past 2-years.
Geelani has taken retirement from the politics and Mirwaiz has not even uttered a word during the past two years. Others are cooling their heels in prisons. “Last two years have proven it beyond doubt that separatists thrived due to the support of mainstream politicians as they went out of way to accommodate them,” said an analyst.

Jammu, July 22: A week after recovery of mobile phones, SIM cards, and other electronic gadgets, half a dozen staff members of the highly fortified Kot Bhawal jail are under the scanner. Highly placed sources said that agencies involved in probing the recoveries have singled out these staffers who are under surveillance for establishing contact with anti-social elements. “As of now, investigating agencies have not formally arrested any person in this case but questioning of many staff members of Kot Bhawal jail is going on”, sources said and added that it was only after questioning and initial probe role of some employees came under scanner.

Jammu, July 22: With the arrest of two terrorist, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday busted a terror syndicate involved in supplying arms to terrorists of Jammu and Kashmir from Bihar.
Two residents of Bihar were arrested by NIA for their alleged involvement in transporting arms from Bihar and handing the same consignment to terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Arman Ali alias Arman Mansuri, aged 20 years and Mohammad Ehsanullah alias Guddu Ansari, aged about 23 years, both residents of Bihar. They were arrested in connection with the case RC-01/2021/NIA/JMU.
