Cracks appear in I.N.D.I.A’s unity in J&K as Congress lures PDP, NC workers | | |

Jammu, July 22: Within a week after 26 political parties across the country floated Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), cracks appeared in the J&K unit of the conglomeration as Congress lured some workers and leaders of the National Conference and Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) joined the party.
Important to mention here that on July 18, 26 political parties from across the country announced the formation of a new coalition and named it INDIA on the second day of their Bengaluru meeting.
Congress is the main constituent of this coalition and the PDP and National Conference are constituents of this coalition. In the presence of NC vice president Omar Abdullah and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti name of the new coalition was announced.
By luring leaders and workers of the coalition partners, Congress has given a message that the party would go it alone in J&K.

NEW DELHI, July 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 22 hit out at the previous UPA government, saying while it destroyed the banking sector with “scams” his dispensation has restored its good financial health, with India now known for the sector’s strength.
Addressing a Rozgar Mela after giving appointment letters to over 70,000 recruits virtually, Mr. Modi noted that a large number of them have been employed in the banking sector as he highlighted how it was “destroyed” under the previous dispensation before his government took corrective measures.

New Delhi, July 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated a centralised aviation security control centre here that will monitor all threats and social media chatter for the 66 civil airports currently under the CISF’s security cover.
The aviation security control centre (ASCC) will access “24x7 real-time data monitoring and trend analysis of passengers and air traffic”, the force said in a statement.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is the national civil aviation protection force. It guards 66 passenger airports out of the total 134 operational in the country.

Srinagar, July 22: Two more Amarnath pilgrims have died, taking the death toll during this year’s pilgrimage in the south Kashmir Himalayas to 36, officials said on Saturday.
The two pilgrims belonged to Rajasthan.
They have been identified as Phateh Lal Manaria (died at the holy cave) and Mangi Lal (died at the Baltal base camp). They were aged 60, the officials said.
While Manaria died of cardiac arrest, the cause of Lal’s death was being ascertained, they added.
These two deaths have taken the toll during the yatra so far this year to 36.

Srinagar, July 22: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday raided the residential premises of an absconding militant in the Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terror conspiracy case.
The accused Riaz Ahmed alias Hazari, on whom the NIA has announced a cash reward of Rs. 3 Lakh for leads, is a resident of Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir.
The spokesman of the NIA said the searches conducted today at his house led to the seizure of one mobile phone, which is being analysed.
