Early Times Report Jammu, July 23: The Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, has pledged to change the destiny of farmers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kandi belt by ensuring the completion of the Shahpur Kandi Dam project. This ambitious project, situated on the river Ravi, is set to transform 32,000 hectares of barren land in 76 Kandi villages of the Jammu province into fertile farmland. presenting the budget for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Sitharaman highlighted the significance of the Shahpur Kandi Dam project. New Delhi, Jul 23: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday, while presenting the Union Budget in Parliament, announced a slew of land-related reforms and action proposals, including assigning Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) to all land in rural areas. The 14-digit Unique Land Parcel Identi?cation Number is part of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) and is accorded to a land parcel based on its longitude and latitude coordinates.
