Jammu, July 24: Even as former Chief Minister and National Conference President Omar Abdullah had grown a long salt a pepper beard during detention and had continued with the same looks even after his release, his recent trip to New Delhi has brought the change as he has gone for clean shave again. Omar has even changed his profile picture on the Twitter as well.
Sources said after his release from prison, Omar had decided to sport beard and not to go for shave.
Sources said despite advise from his friends and other well-wishers in Kashmir, he was reluctant to shave off his beard.

Jammu, July 24: Jammu and Kashmir government is once again examining the findings of the committee that was constituted earlier to probe the pathetic condition of the Valley’s famed water body- Dal Lake. The committee in question formed by the government earlier to look into the deterioration of Dal a few years back had concluded that lack of coordination between three government departments was affecting the health of the lake. The committee had submitted in its report that there was no coordination among the departments regarding bifurcation of sewerage and drainage system and that the effectiveness of the cleaning operations remained severely affected.

SRINAGAR, July 24: For a change the number of recovered patients out-numbered fresh cases of Corona Virus in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir. While 353 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported today, 508 patients who recovered were discharged from hospitals.
At the same time, 14 Corona Virus related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours in the union territory. With this the death toll due to Corona Virus in Jammu & Kashmir reached 296.
