Jammu, July 25: Congress party has once again sent out a feeler that it has moved beyond the rhetoric of Article 370 and it has accepted government’s August 5, 2019 decision.
This is the second time when the party through its senior leader and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, has declared that it would fight the coming elections and J&K’s statehood should be restored. There has been once again no mention of restoration of pre- August 5 position.
Ghulam Nabi Azad called on Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi on Friday didn’t mention any point related to the abrogation of Article 370. His specific demands were restoration of J&K’s statehood and providing adequate security to the political leaders.

SRINAGAR, July 25: The death toll due to Corona Virus in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 305 as nine more people died due to virus in past 24 hours. Meanwhile, 523 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported today.
Reports said that while four deaths occurred in Srinagar district, a death each was reported from Jammu, Baramulla, Budgam, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts.
