Jammu, July 25: Pakistan's nexus with terror groups have been exposed after the killing of a terrorist Shariq Altaf Baba during the ongoing fierce encounter in the forest of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
During the 36-hour-long ongoing gun battle three terrorists, including two foreigners, have been killed by the security forces.
Shariq Baba was among the three terrorists killed in the ongoing encounter, and they were part of the infiltrators who have reportedly managed to sneak into this side of the border through the Line of Control (LoC).
Baba had travelled to Pakistan on a valid visa through the Wagha border Instead of entering Pakistan through LoC for arms training, Shariq has travelled on a valid visa through the Wagha border in the year 2018.
Baba had reportedly applied for a visa to get education in Pakistan. On the official record, he was getting education in Pakistan.

Militant killed by security forces in Kulgam encounter | | |

Srinagar, July 25: An unidentified militant was killed by security forces in an encounter in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, police said.
A Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police , CRPF and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at village Munand Kulgam early in the morning following specific information about the presence of militants.
However, when the security forces were moving towards a particular area after sealing all exit points, militants hiding there opened fire, he said.

Kargil, July 25: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Bipin Rawat on Sunday visited the border town of Drass and reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
An Army official said Gen Rawat took a firsthand review of the security situation and operational preparedness of the troops at the forward locations along the LoC in Drass, the second coldest place in the world.

SRINAGAR, July 25: The Government on Sunday informed that 166 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 34 from Jammu division and 132 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 320657.
Moreover, 197 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 79 from Jammu Division and 118 from Kashmir Division.
