Pak operatives call students to join Whatsapp groups, intel agencies sound alert | | |

Jammu, July 25: The security agencies have sounded alert as Pakistan’s Intelligence Operatives (PIO) are calling students and sending messages on Whatsapp numbers asking them to join groups by sharing OTPs.
Reliable sources said that the students of various schools in Jammu are receiving calls or WhatsApp messages from Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIO) from these numbers 8617321715 and 9622262167.
Sources said that the individuals (callers) are posing as school teachers and asking information and sending OTPs to join the groups.
“These suspected PIOs are calling and sending messages by initially giving reference of someone known and then asking the students to join other groups (allegedly new class groups) by sharing OTP,” sources added.
On calls, sources revealed that they (PIOs) are also asking about the details of father’s job, school routine and timings alongwith other questions pertaining to uniforms and teachers name.

Jammu, July 25: Newly appointed State Election Commissioner of the Union Territory said that it was the prerogative of the government to take a decision on conducting Panchayat elections on a party or non-party basis.

Jammu, July 25: A whopping amount worth Rs 42,272 crores have been declared unclaimed in different public and private sector banks in different parts of a poor country like India.
Union Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Karad informed that Rs 36,185 crores are unclaimed deposits with public sector banks while as Rs 6,087 crores are unclaimed deposits in private sector banks.

Jammu, July 25: Alert troops of the Border Security Force during the wee hours foiled an attempt at narcotic smuggling and also eliminated one Pakistani smuggler in the Ramgarh area of the Samba sector in Jammu Frontier, the spokesman said on Tuesday.
The BSF spokesman said that in the intervening night of July 24?25, the vigilant BSF troops neutralised a Pak smuggler while he was trying to smuggle drugs through the Ramgarh border area.

Srinagar, July 25: Two militant associates affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said on Tuesday.
