SRINAGAR, July 28: After telling Right to Information (RTI) applicant that file pertaining to a backdoor appointee officer who right now is a Special Secretary grade officer had gone missing, the Public Information Officer (PIO) after being taken to task by his senior officers has provided some part of the information which includes his application and few other documents dating back to 1997 and 1998. The PIO is yet to provide the complete file noting. Some documents signed by the then Chief Minister have also been provided under RTI which reveal that appointment was cleared by him.

SRINAGAR, July 28: With the National Investigation Agency intensifying its raids in Kashmir, many of the people are unnerved thinking who would be the next target of the NIA.
While as in the recent past the NIA raided some businessmen dealing with the cross-LoC trade, many others including politicians are unnerved fearing, apprehending that they could also be questioned.
Just around a month ago the NIA had questioned brother of a senior politician in the national capital. But for the last few days the NIA is focusing on businessmen community.

Jammu, July 28: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday said it has registered a case against several persons, including some officials of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) here, for illegally issuing Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) licenses to ineligible candidates for alleged pecuniary gains. The case was registered after a joint surprise check was conducted in the RTO, Jammu, on the basis of a source report that officers in league with brokers or touts issue HMV driving licenses to ineligible candidates against huge monetary considerations ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 per license, the ACB said in a statement here.

SRINAGAR, July 28: Failure of authorities in completing repair works of Bakshi Stadium has forced the government to hold ID celebrations in SK Stadium yet again.
The work for up gradation of Bakshi Stadium Srinagar was started in 2017. The Union Sports Ministry has entrusted the National Projects Construction Corporation for repairing of the Stadium.
