| Tunder Dachhan, July 28: In a tragic cloudburst in remote Honzar village of Dachhan Tehsil in Kishtwar District, at least 26 people were feared dead. Seven bodies were recovered till late in the evening and 19 others were missing, officials said, adding that 17 others injured in the incident were rescued.
Locals told Early Times that it was around 9 PM when they heard a huge sound triggered due to cloudburst— followed by the flash floods that swept everything—including the dreams of many young souls who fall prey to this disaster.
Locals said that there was chaos and confusion among the people who rain for shelter.
The flash floods also claimed the lives of hundreds of livestock, 19 residential houses, 21 cow sheds and damaged two houses partially while 19 houses were destroyed fully.

Srinagar, July 28: Heavy rains triggered massive landslides near revered Shri Amarnathji Cave, however no loss of life or injury was reported. The massive mud slides created panic among deployed security personnel there. District Magistrate Ganderbal Kritika Jyotsana told media that men and machinery have been mobilized. She said there is no loss of life reported so for. “The slides have occurred in Brari Patri and between lower cave and holy cave,” she said.
The video about the slides is viral where some persons probably security personnel can be heard saying that stones are running down from the top.

Jammu, July 28: Union Government on Thursday reiterated that full statehood will be granted to Jammu and Kashmir at an “appropriate time” after the restoration of normalcy.
