New Delhi, July 2: In May this year, London-based Ankit Love apologized to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 2 for taking part in an anti-government rally in 2022, which led to his being blacklisted by the High Commission.
Ankit Love, who apologized for hurling eggs and stones at the High Commission during the February 2022 protest, had asked the prime minister to step in so that he could return and perform the last rites of his mother, Jay Mala.
Love was unable to attend the funeral of his mother. Love claims that he was put on India's “blacklist” after being detained by British authorities on February 14, 2022, as a result of a demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in London.
In an open letter to the Prime Minister on May 2, Love expressed his remorse and apology for the mistake he made by hurling eggs and stones at the High Commission.

Srinagar, July 2: Even as the Jammu and Kashmir Police on July 1 recovered perfume bombs from a Lashkar terror associate in Srinagar, the security for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has been heightened even further.
The terror associate, Yasir Ahmed Ittoo carrying four perfume bombs was caught from Batamaloo Bus stand. Jammu, July 2: Crackdown on terrorist supporters and anti-nationals in Kashmir has led to separatists and their henchmen winding up their shops.

New Delhi, July 2: The Supreme Court is all set to reopen on Monday after a 42-day summer break and will take up a batch of pleas related to the strife in Manipur and a petition by the sister of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad and Ashraf seeking constitution of a commission to inquire into their “extra judicial deaths”.

Poonch, July 2: Security forces on Sunday launched a search operation in a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

New Delhi, July 2: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted raids at multiple locations across three states in connection with a case against the “Ghazwa-e-Hind”, a radicalized module being run by Pakistan-based suspects, officials said. Five locations – two in Patna and one in Darbhanga (Bihar) and one each in Surat (Gujarat) and Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) – were raided by the NIA in connection with the case registered last year, the federal agency said.
