Jammu, July 30: Facing “suffocation” in the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), two former legislators are likely to rejoin Congress party in the days to come.
Sources said that both the former legislators have already held meetings with some Congress leaders to explore the possibility of a homecoming.

Jammu, July 30: A team of State Investigation Agency (SIA) raided several locations in connection with a narco case on Sunday in border Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources added that the raids were carried out at multiple locations in connection with drug peddler Rafiq Lala’s arrest four months back.
“The raid was also carried out in the house of the arrested drug peddler,” said sources.

JAMMU, Jul 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said it has nabbed from Samba district a key accused in an attack on a police party in April, making it the eighth arrest in the case.
Farman Ali alias “DC”, a resident of Rakh Barotian, was allegedly involved in the April 6 attack on the police party near his village when they had gone to arrest suspected drug peddlers, a police spokesperson said.
Ali, a notorious heroin smuggler, used to frequently change his identity and locations to evade arrest, the spokesman said, adding he was arrested by a police party from Vijaypur.

NEW DELHI, July 30: More than 13.13 lakh girls and women went missing in the country in three years between 2019 and 2021 and most of them were from Madhya Pradesh, followed by West Bengal.
According to the Union Home Ministry data, tabled in Parliament last week, 10,61,648 women above 18 years and 2,51,430 girls below that age went missing between 2019 and 2021 across the country.
The data was compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
In Madhya Pradesh, 1,60,180 women and 38,234 girls went missing between 2019 and 2021, according to the data provided to Parliament.

The 25-year-old Army man identified as Javed Ahmad Wani, a resident of Asthal Kulgam and posted in Ladakh, had come home on leave. However, he has gone missing from around 8 pm Saturday, his family said, fearing he may have been kidnapped.
