Early Times Report Srinagar, July 5: The Amarnath Yatra was temporarily suspended from the Pahalgam and Baltal routes on Tuesday morning due to inclement weather, officials said. The 43-day pilgrimage began last week. Officials said no pilgrim was allowed to move towards the holy cave from the base camp of Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal in Ganderbal. Officials said around 71,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the shrine since June 30. The pilgrimage is set to end on August 11. Agencies New delhi, July 5: Online registration for recruitment into the Indian Army under the Centre's Agnipath scheme for Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh commenced on Tuesday, officials said. A recruitment rally will be conducted by Army Recruiting Office, Srinagar, from September 17 to September 30 at Haiderbeig, Pattan in Baramulla district. Early Times Report Ganderbal, July 5: A cloudburst triggered by the heavy rains blocked the Srinagar-Leh highway after flash floods occurred in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday. The flash floods occurred in the Shah Mohallah Kullan area of Kangan in the Ganderbal district on Sunday. According to a report, several houses were inundated and caused partial damage. Agencies New Delhi, July 5: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday informed that the Class 10 and 12 results will be declared in the last week of July as per the schedule. A senior official of CBSE said on condition of anonymity that “CBSE class 10 and 12 results are likely to declare in the last week of July as per the scheduled fixed by the Board and there is no delay in Board results.” In comparison to the last two years, CBSE, this year going to declare results early despite COVID 19 impact because the examinations were started late and conducted for more than 50 days, the official stated. Agencies New Delhi, July 5: The Election Commission on Tuesday issued notification for the August 6 poll to elect the next vice president, setting in motion the process of filing nomination papers by candidates. July 19 is the last date for filing nominations, the notification said. The term of incumbent M Venkaiah Naidu ends on August 10 and the next vice president will take oath on August 11. Mentally-challenged man detained near LoC

Early Times Report JAMMU, July 5: A mentally-challenged person was on Tuesday detained after he was moving in a suspicious manner in a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. He has been identified as Shiv Kumar (30), a resident of Nepal, they said. He was detained by the Army in Digwar sector after he was found moving in a suspicious manner, the officials said.
