SRINAGAR, July 6: The Jammu & Kashmir administration has a habit of taking half-hearted measures and in most of the cases officers holding high and influential positions in different government departments manage to run away Scott Free whenever lower rung employees are shown the door due to one reason or other.
Similar situation has been witnessed in the Board of Technical Education since many casual labourers have been disengaged from their services.
A correspondence has already been shot in this regard to the Secretary, Board of Technical Education. However, there is no mention against the officers involved in the process and as such no action has been recommended against them.
On June 23, 2021, Under Secretary, Department of Skill Development wrote a letter to the Secretary, Board of Technical Education about the disengagement of casual labourers in the Board of Technical Education.
In the letter the Secretary has been asked to ensure that the identified casual labourers are disengaged within a time period of 15 days.
