Security forces avenge gruesome murders of Rahul Bhat, Amreen Bhat by killing 3 terrorists | | |

Jammu, Aug 10: In a big success, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday eliminated three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists including a self-styled commander of the outfit Lateef Rather alias Abdullah.
According to police, three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, including Lateef Rather, who was involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit government employee Rahul Bhat in May 2022, were killed in the ongoing encounter in Budgam.
According to police Lateef Rather was also involved in the gruesome killing of famous female Kashmiri singer and actor Amreen Bhat.
“Budgam Encounter Update: Terrorist Lateef Rather alias Abdullah, killer of Rahul Bhat and Amreen Bhat among the three killed terrorists. He was involved in several terror crime cases including several civilian killings and atrocities”, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said.
Earlier an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Waterhail area of Budgam district.

Arrested Punjab drug peddler was in touch with active terror groups | | |

Jammu, Aug 10: Although the arrested drug peddler of Punjab is trying to baffle the Jammu and Kashmir Police by giving conflicting statements, he was a regular visitor to Valley to fund terror groups.
During questioning, the arrested drug peddler revealed that he was a regular visitor to Kashmir Valley to hand over money, earned through narcotics smuggling, to some Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of different terror outfits.

SRINAGAR, Aug 10: The Government today informed that 547 fresh positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) have been reported today; 70 from Jammu division and 477 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 471374.
Moreover, 766 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 221 from Jammu division and 545 from Kashmir division.
