PDP’s show of power reduced to ‘3-4 workers’! | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 12: Even as most of the prominent faces have parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party, the show of power in the party seems to have reduced to mere three-four workers with rumor mills going rife that the PDP was counting its days in politics.
The actual strength of PDP got exposed on the first anniversary of the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir when the party had planned to observe the so called black day and to stage protests.
Whereas not a single senior leader of the party came out in support of the PDP’s so called black day, mere three four-little known workers held a symbolic protest in Srinagar as they posed for a picture with placards in their hands.
Sources in the party said no senior PDP leader has been supporting any of the stands of the party for a year now and that the PDP was banking on three-four little known youth, who are being projected as the leaders.
Sources said even the close relatives of Mehbooba Mufti who enjoy senior positions in the party have allegedly gone into hiding.
