Jammu, Aug 13: J&K Police has decided to revisit its security arrangements ahead of Independence Day after gruesome terror attack at the residence of BJP leader Jasbir Singh in Rajouri on late Thursday evening.
Veer Singh, two-year-old nephew of BJP leader, has lost his life in the grenade attack. This incident has exposed loopholes in security arrangements made by the authorities ahead of the Independence Day.
Sources said that after Rajouri grenade attack, higher-ups in the administration have decided to revisit the security arrangements to frustrate nefarious designs of terrorists, who are desperate to attack ahead of Independence Day.

Srinagar, Aug 13: Security forces averted a major tragedy when they detected and defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Friday.
Official sources said a Road Opening Party (ROP) during a routine patrolling noticed an IED planted by militants on the roadside at Dadsar Tral in Pulwama early this morning.

Baramulla, Aug 13: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and two civilian were injured in a militant hand grenade attack in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district Friday afternoon.
Panic gripped in main Sopore town when militants lobbed a hand grenade towards security forces neat State Bank of India (SBI) this afternoon. A CRPF jawan received minor splinter injuries who was hospitalized, they said.
