Terrorists desperate to attack Jammu, agencies on high alert

Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 14: One of the four Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists arrested by the J&K Police was assigned the task to conduct blast in Jammu. As per police statement, Touseef Ahmad was given the task by Pakistan-based JeM terrorists namely Shahid and Abrar to take up an accommodation in Jammu which he did. Touseef was then asked to procure a second-hand motorcycle for causing an IED blast at Jammu. The IED for this purpose would be dropped by a drone. Touseef was arrested before he could complete this task.  Earlier with the arrest of four Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, the Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday foiled nefarious designs of the anti-national elements to strike ahead of Independence Day. The police busted the inter-state terror module involved in collecting arms dropped through drones in border areas of Punjab and Jammu province. According to a statement issued by the police, the arrested terrorists were planning to collect arms dropped by drones and supply them to active terrorists of JeM in the Kashmir valley. JK reports 135 new positive cases, 317627 recovered so far

Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 14: The Government on Saturday informed that 135 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 37 from Jammu division and 98 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 323325. Moreover, 156 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 64 from Jammu Division and 92 from Kashmir Division. Besides this, 99.67 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
